Liana DAscanio Board Member

On behalf of the ERCKWA Board and all our stakeholders, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude and thanks to Liana D'Ascanio who has decided to step down from her roles as a Board member and Chair of the Volunteer Leader Committee (VLC).
For those who are unaware, Liana has had a long standing association with our organization, commencing as a camp leader some 20 years ago and culminating as a Board member, a position Liana has most ably filled over the past 6 years.
Needless to say Liana has made a significant contribution during this time largely through being involved in several different roles. She has provided valuable insights around the board room table and often challenged our approach and thinking on key decisions. Recently, she has also had to deal with a demanding and exhaustive matter in relation to incident reporting and has also been instrumental in strengthening the volunteer network through her role as Chair of the VLC.
All of the volunteering Liana has contributed, she has done with the professionalism and empathy we have come to expect from her.
People like Liana are difficult to replace, although I’m hopeful she’ll retain an involvement in ERCKWA in some way. For now, please join me in wishing her, Nick and their young family much prosperity, good health and happiness for the years that lie ahead.
