The Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA 2018 Volunteer Awards 

 Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA recognises the significant contributions that people make as volunteers, be it as leaders, ancillary volunteers on camps, volunteers at events or through fundraising efforts and roles on committees etc.

 

Edmund Rice Camps WA Volunteer of the Year Award
The Edmund Rice Camps WA Volunteer of the year award is an annual award presented to a volunteer who clearly demonstrates an exceptional connection to and lived experience of the Edmund Rice charism and values AND who provides an exceptional level of volunteering to Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA.

Roles as Camp Managers, Committee Members and attendance at personal formation programmes are not considered for the volunteer of the year award but do count towards the long service awards.

Edmund Rice Camps WA Long Service Awards
Long service awards are presented to any volunteer (leader, ancillary, committee/Board member etc.) who has attended ten (10) or more camps and/or provided a level of service as a member of a committee or the Board. Camps can either be a mini or mega camp, Eddie on the Road or Fun Fest.

Any year of service as a Board/committee member or role as Camp Manager counts as two camps.

10 or more Camps = Edmund Rice Presence - Brent McIntyre Award
20 or more Camps = Edmund Rice Compassion Award
30 or more Camps = Edmund Rice Liberation Award

Nomination Process – ERCKWA Volunteer of the Year Award
ERCKWA will seek nominations for Edmund Rice Camps WA Volunteer of the Year Award from staff, Board Members, Committee Members and from the Edmund Rice network of leaders and supporters. The nomination can be received as an e mail and must clearly
name the nominee as well as the person making the nomination. The nomination must contain a statement /example attesting to the nominee’s demonstration of the Edmund Rice values and details of the volunteering the nominee has provided during the year (see example below).
The e mail is to be sent to the Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA CEO Kevin Knapp at kknapp@edmundrice.org and must be received by 19 November 2018

All nominations will be presented to the Edmund Rice Camps WA Volunteer Awards Committee for consideration. The decision of the committee is final. The committee will comprise a member of the ERCKWA Board, CEO and one other staff member and 1 member of the Volunteer Leader Committee.

The Volunteer of the Year Winner will be presented to the ERCKWA Board for ratification.
ERCKWA (with the assistance of the Awards Committee) will review historic data and data from 2018 to determine the winners of the inaugural long service awards.
All awards will be presented by a member of the ERCKWA Board or the CEO at an annual Edmund Rice Camps Awards Night and Cocktail Function 1st December 2018.
