Dear Valued Guest,

On behalf of Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA, the staff, Board and volunteers, I wanted to say a big thank you to those of you who attended or supported in any way for making our Charity Gala Ball last Friday at the Grand Ballroom Crown such a success!

Thanks to you and the other 300 guests we made $44,000 (Yes you helped us reach our target on the night!!) and raised valuable awareness for the work that we do providing respite and hope to hundreds of at risk children in Western Australia as well as personal development opportunities to an equal number of young adult mentors.

I am sure that you (like me) were inspired by the stories and experiences showcased and shared by Rebekah in our new Community Film proudly produced in partnership with Beyond Bank. The short story that I shared with you “Hear No Evil See No Evil” was one of (sadly) many that have resonated with me this past year but one that also inspires me, our volunteers and you to support community and people living in the margins.

From the venue Crown, catering, amazing entertainment to our wonderful MC Kymba Cahill, the night really was a great success for us. We value your feedback in order to further improve and provide an even better experience next year. To this end I would ask that you take a few moments to complete the attached questionnaire so that Nicole Mancini (ERCWA Events and Fundraising Coordinator) can collate and implement changes as required.

We also still have 30 of the 100 Eddie Bears unsold and would love to find a home for these bears with at risk children this Christmas. If you or your contacts would like to purchase and donate these bears $50each to our kids then please contact Nicole Mancini 0429 913 364 or nmancini@edmundrice.org.

On the night I was delighted to have a couple of people approach me with offers to do more to assist us with the work that we do. With the Bankwest Community Partnership having come to an end last year we have worked hard to find replacements but we need to secure at least $50,000 more in recurring annual funding/corporate sponsorships to make up the shortfall. Telethon Community Cinemas

Edmund Rice Camps WA is a very proud and grateful partner of Telethon Community Cinemas. This year once again we are a value charity partner and we have committed to providing volunteers to help run the outdoor cinemas. This commitment raises tens of thousands of dollars for our charity. To be successful we need a large number of dedicated volunteers.
