PROGRAM MANAGER - CHILD SAFEGUARDING

Thriive WA is inviting expressions of interest for the position of Program Manager - Child Safeguarding.

About the role

This part-time Program Manager - Child Safeguarding role at Thriive WA, based in Salter Point WA, is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of our child safeguarding initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people we work with across our programs.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing, implementing and regularly reviewing child safeguarding policies, procedures and practices to ensure best-practice standards are met
  • Providing training and support to staff, volunteers and partner organisations on child safeguarding
  • Monitoring compliance with child protection legislation and regulations
    Manage a team to deliver high quality programs to vulnerable children and their families in WA
  • Develop and execute a child referral process including engaging with families and support agencies
  • Maintaining detailed records and preparing regular reports on programs and child safeguarding

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience in a child safeguarding or child protection role, preferably within the community services sector
  • Strong understanding of child protection legislation, regulations and best practices
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Demonstrated ability to engage and manage a team
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, human services or a related field
