Your support of the 2019 Quiz Night helps to provide valuable services for at risk children, both here in Western Australia, and overseas in Cambodia.

Half of the funds raised on the evening will go toward Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA (ERCKWA) a non-profit, community-based charity organisation that offer respite programs for WA disadvantaged and ‘at risk’ children aged 7-16 and their families (families who would not otherwise have such opportunities). This is achieved via a variety of developmentally-focussed recreational and educational programs, including camps. ERCKWA also fosters the ongoing personal development of young adult volunteer leaders who act as friends and mentors to the children in their care. Children attend the programs from all areas of Perth and a wide variety of cultural and religious backgrounds. For those who cannot make it to a Perth-based program there is the ‘Eddie on the Road’ program which delivers services to regional, rural and remote areas across Western Australia.

The other half will directly support Lidy House and the Arrupe Centre in Cambodia. These centres, which work in conjunction with one another, provide education and care for children who are at risk or who are disabled (often through landmine-related injuries). These children would otherwise not receive an education, and at times may otherwise be sold into begging, or enter the workforce as children.

ERCKWA and St Thomas More College are not only looking forward to you joining us on what is going to be an incredibly fun night for incredible causes but this fundraising event aims to raise vital funds so we may continue to support those in need. We would be very grateful if you could assist us in helping to raise these funds with either sponsorship, cash donations, items to auction or goods to give away as prizes.

For more information on how you or your company can assist us with raising these funds please contact Nicole Mancini at nmancini@edmundrice.org
